The girls and I took Julia, Tatiana, and their kids to IKEA because after living in the hotel since April, the Powell family has a house here at RB where they wanted to live. Now only Tatiana and her family need one as well. Hopefully theirs will be ready by the 15th of August. ANYWAY, the reason we went was to look for curtains for Julia's house. She has them for the rooms in the boys' rooms but needed them for their bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Gotta have curtains to keep nosey neighbors from looking in your house. Sad, but true. We found them for the living room, and bedroom, but nothing in curtain form for the kitchen. She did however find a heavy fabric that she liked and thought it would look good in her black and white kitchen. She got it for 4 euro per yard and bought two yards. I told her that I would sew it for her so that she can use them on Friday when they move in. I don't know if I would have chosen the fabric, BUT I do like it because it looks retro to me. Please note how wonderful the sewing is and be proud that I ironed every single fold like a good girl. JennyP should be proud :)

Great job! I am proud of the ironing:)
I knew you would be :) I did those from fabric to curtains, BUT I also did two sets of the extra long linen ones from IKEA as well. They all turned out nice.
That's so nice of you to sew curtains for your new friends! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ikea! I have a black and white living room.
