Oh Hi...Remember Me?

Aunt Ann with her little Jill O Lantern.
My Jason, my Dracula, and my little disco girl ready for trick or treating. The weather was WONDERFUL and we had a great time.
The kids on the porch with the jack o lantern line up.

Maddy with her kitty jack o lantern.
This is Michael's second one and he tried to capture Charlie Brown...I think he did a great job.

Sierra on Halloween carving her first pumpkin EVER. She was not at all happy with hers but I told her it was wonderful especially since she had no help whatsoever.

Little Michael threatening my mother with pumpking guts :)

Maddy carving her pumpking and looking like it is fun. I think it was her first time too.

Sierra has her concentration face on for the carving. I do the same thing too...Big Daddy points it out all the time.

Sierra got student of the Month for October. We were very proud of her.

Well hi. I know it has been a while but here I am just so JennyP doesn't give up on me and my blog. I don't have a lot to say about being back stateside because honestly I miss Germany several times a week. That being said I am happy to be here for the holidays and I am so excited to spend Thanksgiving with my huge family. I look forward to seeing some that I still haven't seen since we have been here AND I am looking forward to spending Christmas in our own place (after five months staying with family I am surprised I am not crazier than I was before our trip home) although we will come up to my mother's house for Christmas Dinner. As soon as I have pictures of the new house, I will post them. We are very happy with it. It is a three bedroom, two bath, with a front and back yard. It is 1900 square feet and it is on the lake. The view from both the front and the back of the house is beautiful.

I am still subbing and am very discouraged that I don't have my own classroom yet, but I am trying to keep hope alive. Hope you like all the pictures above :)

What to do When You can't get a Teaching Job in California--Go to Disneyland!!!!

Well, the first day of school was yesterday and the kids started new schools here in California. Their mother was FAR more nervous than they were. I will post pictures of that soon. This is supposed to be about our trip to Southern California. We visited his family for two days (they live in Oceanside), went to Disneyland and California Adventure for four days, and then took a leisurely drive up the coast to come back north. We all had a wonderful time! While we were in Anaheim we stayed at the Hilton, which is normally 190 dollars a night-I write this because I named my own price on priceline and got it for 55 dollars a night for all five of us. I do LOVE saving money. Also, it gave us more money for the park. On our final day in the park, we went to one of the many parades that take place. Twice during that time the girls were pulled into the parade to dance. I will also try and put one of the videos for that as well. *Video too big so you'll just have to take my word that they were the cutest things EVER. The girls posing with the Goofy statue. It was their idea to pose like Goofy himself. They are so cute!
The family with some of the CARS characters.
This first picture is our first day there. We were inside California Adventure. Stitch happens to be my girls' favorite character so they were really happy to take their picture with him even though Sierra looks like she is about to scream and run.

This was the one character that Michael wanted to pose with and didn't have to be reminded to smile. GEEE...I wonder why?

Michael, Madison and Sierra in the big O that is part of the California Adventure sign. They were very excited to get in there and did not want to stop and pose for this picture.
This is a picture from the is the second time we took the ride California Screaming. It is a huge roller coaster that the girls, Big Michale and I loved. Little Michael went on once and didn't want to go again. Take a look at the picture below because it was the first time we took the same ride...Madison looks terrified to me.
One of the big problems little Michael and I have with roller coasters is that we have to take off our glasses which then means we can't see. Don't like that, but would rather that than lose my glasses. Of course, his not seeing so he shouldn't be scared right?

Lil' John/the girls/ and "snap yo fingers"

videoI know the video quality is bad on this too, BUT it was too good to pass up. This is Sierra and Maddy being the rapper Lil' John and "singing" his song Snap yo fingas. It was night time in the car with only the over head light and my camara phone. I did my best. I think it is too flippin cute for word, but I am biased :)

Video of Singing Kids

videoThis is my nephew Caden (you all might remember him from when I was posting blogs about his cancer) he is much better now and staying with my mother for a while along with his brother Cameron. Anyway...this is a video of Caden in the back of my uncle's truck. He is singing "we will rock you," and I am taping with my phone. The quality is not great nor is the lighting because it is getting dark and we are traveling through the woods but it was very cute. He also told us that he likes "rock and roll...not girl rock and roll, just boy rock and roll."
